I’ve counseled many young women who have wasted so much time building something that God has rejected. They fight against the nudging of the Holy Spirit only to end up broken and weak. All because they invested their heart and soul into building up a relationship that shouldn’t have started at all. What are you building? Is it up to code? God’s code and standard? If you’re not obeying and doing God’s will or inquiring of his will, you are building in vain, because it will eventually come tumbling down. Make God the foundation of what you’re building. Make him the cornerstone. The word says, “A wise woman builds her house but a foolish with her own hands destroys it”. (Proverbs 14:1) Wisdom is seeking God’s will and obeying his commands. It means following his specifications and vision. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)
Be wise and follow God’s instructions. Do not be foolish and build outside of God’s will like on sand which is deceiving. For when the storms of life come, what you’ve built up will not endure and succumb to the pressure. You want to build something pleasing to God, sturdy, God certified that will sustain the hits of the enemy, and endure the test of time. In this season God is downloading instructions for you to start moving. It’s going to look messy and probably won’t make sense at first but trust God and keep going, don’t stop, because with his lead you will succeed. When Noah was instructed to start building, he probably had no clue what he was doing but he faithfully followed God’s instructions. His diligent obedience saved him and his family. I encourage you to fearlessly tackle the unknown fully assured God himself goes before you. Reject over thinking your failures of the past. Instead, keep your thoughts on all that’s good, pure, true and right. Trust the Lord for “this time” is the right time, it’s God’s time. He’s been preparing you for this moment, so you are capable and worthy. Start now. Whether it’s to build up a relationship, business, ministry, family or friendship work at it diligently for your work will glorify and honor the King. For many, the time to be still has passed. It is time to build again.
